Cherry (Cherries in syrup) 2 cup
Sponge cakes (Round chocolate sponge cake — 1 piece; Chocolate rectangular sponge cake — 1 piece.) g
Oil cream (Chocolate fondant glaze) 200 g

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
If there are no ready-made cake layers, then the day before preparing the cake you need to bake two sponge cakes using a round mold with a diameter of 22 cm and a rectangular mold. If one cake layer turns out to be slightly higher than the other, then during the assembly of the cake it can be leveled.

Step 2

Step 2
Cut the round sponge cake crosswise into 2 equal parts. Measure the cut half of the cake from edge to edge with a ruler, it should be 21 cm.

Step 3

Step 3
From a rectangular sponge cake you need to make a square with a side of 21 cm. To do this, use a ruler to mark the desired length in several parts of the cake and cut off the side edge of the sponge cake. Then measure the second side and cut to end up with a square with equal sides.

Step 4

Step 4
Turn the square with both sides cut up. The sides where there is no cut should be at the bottom. Then attach two semicircular biscuits to the cut sides of the square — you get a heart!

Step 5

Step 5
Cut each part into 2 layers and begin assembling the cake.

Step 6

Step 6
Lightly soak the cakes with syrup.

Step 7

Step 7
Grease two semicircular and one square cakes with cream and cherries.

Step 8

Step 8
Cut the remaining previously cut part of the rectangular sponge cake into strips 1 cm thick.

Step 9

Step 9
Place the strips on a square cake layer coated with cream. Smooth everything out with cream.

Step 10

Step 10
Cover everything with the remaining cake layers and press down. Lay out the cake in the shape of a heart the way it should ideally lie.

Step 11

Step 11
To connect all the parts, coat the side cuts with chocolate fudge icing.

Step 12

Step 12
Fill everything with chocolate fudge glaze. Bon appetit!

Step 13

Step 13
Happy Valentineʼs Day! Love and happiness to everyone!
