Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Letʼs prepare the ingredients for the cake. The cooking process is so fast that you can immediately turn on the oven to heat up to a temperature of 180 degrees. Margarine, as a cheaper product, or butter, as a more natural product, should be removed from the refrigerator in advance so that it is at room temperature. If there is no time to soften the butter under natural conditions, you can put it in the microwave for 1 minute to warm up.

Step 2

Step 2
Place the softened butter in a deep bowl. Add sour cream and baking powder. It can be replaced with soda slaked with vinegar. Add sifted wheat flour. You may need a little more or less flour than the amount indicated in the ingredients, since the density and quality of flour varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.

Step 3

Step 3
Mix the ingredients, grind the flour and butter into crumbs. The dough should be soft, but dense, not sticky.

Step 4

Step 4
Place the shortbread crumbs on a baking sheet and place in the oven. As a rule, the dough at the edges of the baking sheet begins to brown faster than in the middle, so after 7 minutes, remove the baking sheet from the oven and mix the dough so that it is not baked in one large layer; the sand crumbs should be separate balls.

Step 5

Step 5
Place the baking sheet with the dough back in the oven and bring it to readiness. The whole process takes about 20 minutes. Remove the baking sheet with the dough from the oven, let the dough cool directly on the baking sheet so that the shortbread crumbs become hard and crispy.

Step 6

Step 6
Meanwhile, prepare the cream for the cake. The butter should be soft.

Step 7

Step 7
We boil condensed milk or buy ready-made boiled condensed milk; the first option, of course, is better; it produces a natural finished product. Beat the softened butter with condensed milk until a cream of uniform consistency is obtained, add a pinch of vanillin and mix.

Step 8

Step 8
Pour the shortbread crumbs into a bowl with the cream and mix them well together so that the cream completely covers the entire dough. Place the mixture on a flat plate, giving it the shape of an anthill.

Step 9

Step 9
Sprinkle poppy seeds on top, imitating a real anthill with ants, and decorate with berries. The cake is ready. Let it cool and soak in the refrigerator and serve with tea. Enjoy your tea!
