Sugar 1 tsp
Wheat flour 480 g
Milk 250 ml
Vegetable oil (for lubricating the mold) 0.3 tsp
Oregano dry to taste
Sesame 10 g
Margarine 90 g
Dry yeast (bakery) 10 g

Rectangular bread baking pan size 30cm*10cm. lightly grease with vegetable oil.

Prepare all the ingredients necessary for kneading Serbian bread “Pogačice”.

First, you need to prepare the dough for the future bread: dissolve sugar and salt in lukewarm milk, add bakerʼs yeast and 2 tablespoons of flour sifted through a sieve.

Mix well, cover with a clean towel and place in a warm place for about 30-40 minutes. After time, the dough should rise.

Sift the remaining flour into the container with the dough and knead a fairly tight dough, kneading it by hand for 7-8 minutes. The dough is difficult to knead, so you can knead the dough using a kitchen machine using the hook attachment.

Roll out the finished dough into a thick sausage and divide into 12 equal parts (approximately 60 grams each). Roll each part into a ball and put under film so that the dough does not dry out.

Roll out each ball into an oblong flat cake, using your baking shape (width and height of sides) as a guide. Place the cakes under the film again.

Place margarine in a saucepan, place on low heat and melt it.

Add oregano to the melted margarine and stir.

Take the first tortilla, dip it on both sides in melted margarine and oregano, fold it in half and place it in the prepared pan. Do the same procedure with the remaining cakes.

Sprinkle sesame seeds and oregano on top. Leave the prepared bread to proof for another 30 minutes. Then place the pan with bread in an oven preheated to 190°C and bake for 25 minutes.
