Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make sherbet, a Turkish drink from berries and fruits at home? Very simple. First, prepare all the necessary ingredients according to the list. Any fresh or frozen berries and (or) fruits are suitable for sherbet. I used frozen strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. You can also choose any ice cream, for example, you can take a regular white ice cream, I chose raspberry and chocolate ice cream.

Step 2

Step 2
Rinse the berries thoroughly under running water, place them in a cooking pot or saucepan and cover with water, then put them on the stove to cook. After boiling, reduce the heat and simmer the berries for about 20 minutes, skimming off the foam.

Step 3

Step 3
Strain the berry syrup; you can use the berries later in baking. Add sugar to the syrup and put it back on the stove, after boiling, cook for about 10 minutes over low heat, do not forget to skim off any foam that has formed.

Step 4

Step 4
Remove the berry syrup from the heat and leave to cool; for a faster process, you can place the container with the syrup in cold water.

Step 5

Step 5
Place ice cream in the bottom of a glass or other suitable sherbet container.

Step 6

Step 6
Pour the half-cooled berry syrup over the ice cream.

Step 7

Step 7
Add milk, it must be cold. If desired, garnish the drink with mint leaves for extra flavor, and you can also add a few ice cubes. From this amount of ingredients I got two servings of the finished drink. Serve Turkish berry sorbet immediately while it is still cool. Cook with pleasure!
