Fresh Tangerine Oven Pie

Incredibly aromatic, simple and very juicy! Tangerine pie in the oven made from fresh tangerines is interesting because of the technology of kneading the dough: you need to beat the eggs with the tangerine in a blender. Thanks to this, the dough has a rich taste and smell of tangerines. It’s simply impossible to tear yourself away from such a pie!

Sugar 150 g
Wheat flour 220 g
Water 150 ml
Eggs 2 pc
Baking powder 1 tbsp
Sunflower oil 120 g
Tangerines (5-7 pieces) 5 pc

How to make tangerine pie in the oven from fresh tangerines? Fast and easy! Choose tangerines that are sweet, juicy and fragrant. Preferably not very large. Take the highest grade flour. Large, selected eggs are needed. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees in advance.

Rinse the tangerines thoroughly. Remove the zest from one tangerine using a grater.

Peel the remaining tangerines and cut in half.

Grease the bottom of the baking dish with butter and sprinkle with 2 tbsp. l. Sahara. Place the tangerine halves cut side down. I have a mold with a diameter of 21 cm.

Peel the remaining tangerine, from which you previously removed the zest, and place it in a blender bowl. Add eggs and salt. Beat everything until smooth and lots of air bubbles appear.

Pass the resulting mixture through a sieve into a bowl.

Add vegetable oil, water, remaining sugar and tangerine zest to a bowl with egg-tangerine puree. Mix everything thoroughly with a whisk until smooth.

Add the flour sifted with baking powder and mix again until smooth. Thanks to sifting, the flour will be saturated with oxygen, and the finished cake will turn out fluffier and airier. The dough should be viscous but fluid. Add a little more flour if necessary.

Pour the batter into the pan on top of the tangerines. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 40-50 minutes. The exact time will depend on your technique and the final thickness of the cake.

Turn the finished tangerine pie onto a plate so that the tangerines are on top and serve. Bon appetit!
