Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Here are the ingredients needed for the dough

Step 2

Step 2
Beat egg with sugar

Step 3

Step 3
Add a pinch of salt (or half a teaspoon of salt — whichever is more convenient for you), mix

Step 4

Step 4
Add vegetable oil

Step 5

Step 5
Add melted butter (you can melt it either in a water bath or in the microwave)

Step 6

Step 6
Add milk (you can use kefir, whey, fermented baked milk or yoghurt that has been in the refrigerator for a long time as a liquid)

Step 7

Step 7
Mix flour with dry yeast

Step 8

Step 8
Now mix the dry and liquid ingredients

Step 9

Step 9
Using a spoon and then with your hands, knead the dough and knead for about 10 minutes until it stops sticking to your hands.

Step 10

Step 10
Now you need to cover the dough and leave in a warm place for 1 hour and 20 minutes. The dough should at least double in size

Step 11

Step 11
These are the fruits that I needed today for the filling, I took apples, plums and pears. I think any fruit you have on hand will be suitable for pies; it will be very tasty with peaches, nectarines or apricots

Step 12

Step 12
Pit and cut the plums

Step 13

Step 13
Peel the apples, remove the core and chop. I didnʼt cut it too finely, rather into medium pieces.

Step 14

Step 14
We treat pears in the same way as apples.

Step 15

Step 15
Sprinkle sliced fruits with lemon juice to prevent them from browning.

Step 16

Step 16
Mix. It is very tempting to add sugar directly to the filling, but this should not be done, because the fruit will immediately release juice and the filling will be too liquid

Step 17

Step 17
Next, a surprise awaited me! Suddenly the lights were turned off, and the further process had to be filmed by candlelight! Romance!!! The photo clearly shows how much the dough had risen — it couldn’t wait for the light any longer) It’s okay, tanks are not afraid of dirt — we’ll get out of it without light)

Step 18

Step 18
Knead the dough, knead it a little again, divide it into equal parts (I got 22), turn each piece into a flat cake with your hands or a rolling pin

Step 19

Step 19
Place chopped fruit on each piece and add 1-2 teaspoons on top. l. Sahara

Step 20

Step 20
We fasten the edges and our pies are almost ready for the oven)

Step 21

Step 21
Place the pies on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil, seam side up, so that the filling does not leak out

Step 22

Step 22
To brush the pies, beat the egg.

Step 23

Step 23
We grease our pies and let them rise in a warm place for 15-20 minutes (you’ve probably already turned on the oven to preheat by this time and it won’t be difficult to find a warm place). Luckily, I have a gas oven (and this is probably the first time Iʼm glad about it)

Step 24

Step 24
Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes until golden brown. And finally the lights turned on! HOORAY!

Step 25

Step 25
Let the pies cool covered with a towel.

Step 26

Step 26
Enjoy your tea!
