Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make fried pies from soda and kefir dough in a frying pan? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Sift the flour through a sieve to saturate it with oxygen. These pies can have any filling. I will be making pies with cabbage, so I am preparing everything necessary for stewing the cabbage.

Step 2

Step 2
To prepare the dough, heat the kefir to room temperature. Add sugar, salt and soda to it. Mix.

Step 3

Step 3
Beat eggs and add vegetable oil.

Step 4

Step 4
Gradually add sifted flour and knead the dough. The total amount of flour is based on the dough; you may need more or less.

Step 5

Step 5
The finished dough is soft, plastic and does not stick to your hands. Cover the dough with cling film and leave to rest.

Step 6

Step 6
Start preparing the filling. Peel the onions and carrots. Chop the onion and grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Fry the vegetables for 2-3 minutes with the addition of vegetable oil.

Step 7

Step 7
Then add shredded cabbage. Simmer everything under the lid for 20 minutes, until the cabbage is soft. Add a little salt and spices to taste. To prevent the cabbage from burning, you can add a little water. Cool the finished filling.

Step 8

Step 8
Make small flat cakes from the finished dough and fill them with stewed cabbage. Form the pies.

Step 9

Step 9
Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and fry the pies over low heat for 1-2 minutes on each side. I like to cook pies in a lot of oil.

Step 10

Step 10
Ready fried pies become golden brown. Place them in a bowl and cover with a towel to let them steam for a while. Bon appetit!
