Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make samsa from puff pastry with meat? Prepare your food. Remove the dough from the freezer in advance. It should defrost a little, but not completely. It’s better to put it in the refrigerator on the bottom shelf, then this will happen most delicately. You can take ready-made minced meat or make it yourself. In addition to chicken, minced meat from any other meat is suitable.

Step 2

Step 2
Peel the onion, then chop it finely.

Step 3

Step 3
Mix the minced meat with onion, salt and pepper and stir. You can also add seasonings to your taste. If the minced meat is not very juicy, add a small amount of cold water.

Step 4

Step 4
Do the test. I have a package of puff pastry without yeast weighing 450 grams. It consists of four rectangular sheets. Each sheet will make 4 samosas. There will be 16 pieces in total. Take one sheet of dough and cut it into four equal pieces, placing them on your work surface. I used a silicone mat.

Step 5

Step 5
Roll one part into a thin rectangle using a rolling pin and place a heaping tablespoon of minced meat in the middle. If necessary, you can dust the dough and rolling pin with flour.

Step 6

Step 6
Grab two corners of the long side and fasten them together.

Step 7

Step 7
Now pinch the bottom edge. You will get a triangle. Do the same with the remaining dough.

Step 8

Step 8
Place the pieces on a baking sheet greased with butter or vegetable oil, seam side down, brush them with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Step 9

Step 9
Bake samsa in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes. The exact time will depend on the features of your oven. During this time, the samsa should brown. Serve them hot, while the juice from the meat has not yet penetrated into the dough. Bon appetit!
