Rhubarb Cardamom Delight Pie

This pie is a real miracle. Soft, aromatic, with sourness. The crumb of this pie is airy and very aromatic. Cardamom gives the pie a unique zest, and rhubarb adds a pleasant sourness that dilutes the sweetness of the dough.

Ingredients (6 portions)

Dough:

Wheat flour 180 g
Milk 125 ml
Butter 100 g
Sugar 180 g
Eggs 1 pc
Baking powder 1.5 tsp
Powdered sugar 1 tsp
Cardamom 0.5 tsp
Salt 2 g

Filling:

Sugar 0.5 tbsp
Rhubarb 150 g

Dough. To prepare the dough for rhubarb pie we will need: flour, soft butter, sugar, milk, eggs, baking powder, ground cardamom and salt.

Mix flour, baking powder, cardamom and salt.

Beat soft butter with sugar into a fluffy light mass.

Add egg, vanilla sugar powder. Beat until smooth.

Pour in the milk, add the flour mixture and beat again at low speed.

You should get a smooth, homogeneous dough.

Filling. For the filling we need rhubarb and sugar.

Wash the rhubarb petioles, dry and remove the skin. Cut the petioles into equal bars about 5 cm long. If the petioles are very thick, then cut them in half, otherwise they will drown in the dough.

Place the dough into a greased baking pan and smooth it out.

Place rhubarb sticks on top in a circle. Sprinkle sugar on top of rhubarb. Then you will get a delicious sugar crust.

Bake the pie for about 40 minutes at 180°C.
