Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to marinate chicken in kefir for the oven? First, prepare your ingredients. You can take any parts of the chicken you choose, even the whole carcass. Kefir can be of any fat content. Wash the vegetables thoroughly in running water and dry with paper towels. Instead of Italian seasonings, you can use any dry mixtures for chicken and meat.

Step 2

Step 2
Peel the garlic and pass through a press. Pour the kefir into a bowl and add chopped garlic and dry spices. Pour the kefir marinade over the chicken and leave to marinate for 30 minutes.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel the potatoes and cut into large slices. Transfer to a separate bowl.

Step 4

Step 4
Pour olive oil into the potatoes, squeeze a clove of garlic through a press, add spices and mix well.

Step 5

Step 5
Cut the tomatoes into slices 1 centimeter thick.

Step 6

Step 6
Place potatoes in the bottom of the baking dish. I didn’t grease the pan with anything — we will have sauce, so nothing will burn.

Step 7

Step 7
Place tomato rings on top of the potatoes.

Step 8

Step 8
Place chicken pieces on top. Pour the remaining kefir marinade over everything. Preheat the oven to 180-200 degrees. Bake the chicken in kefir until done. Determine the exact time and temperature based on your oven. It took me 50 minutes to do everything. Bon appetit!
