Basic:

Garlic 40 g
Olive oil 25 ml
Salt 10 g
Ground black pepper 5 g
Cilantro, coriander 5 g
Apples 2 pc
Water 500 ml
Potato 500 g
Mushrooms 500 g
Basil 3 leaf
Duck 1.5 kg

How to bake a duck in a duck roaster in the oven? Start by prepping the duck if needed. Thoroughly clean any remaining feathers and wash everything well from the inside. Remove inedible parts, such as the coccygeal gland or the entire butt! Dry the duck with a towel. Prepare vegetables, fruits and mushrooms with spices.

Cut the peeled potatoes in half.

Cut the apples into slices without the core. Wash the mushrooms; you can leave them whole (it’s prettier this way) or cut them in half lengthwise.

Mix all the spices and crushed garlic with olive oil and then rub the duck with this mixture on all sides and inside using your hands or using a special brush.

Fill it with apples and use toothpicks to seal the hole.

Pour water into the duck pot.

Place the duck back down.

Cover the duck with potatoes and mushrooms on all sides. Add a little salt to the vegetables.

Preheat the oven to 240 degrees and bake the duck in it for an hour and a half under the lid and another 10-15 minutes in the open until browned. Happy and delicious holidays!
