Ingredients (6 portions)

Basic:

Onion 1 pc
Garlic (taste) 3 clove
Salt to taste
Water 500 ml
Potato (5-7 pcs. small size) 7 pc
Bay leaf 1 pc
Tomato paste 1 tbsp
Carrot 1 pc
Vegetable oil 50 ml
Pork 400 g
Dry spices to taste
Greenery to taste
Canned beans 250 g

How to make potatoes with canned beans and meat in tomato sauce? Very simple. Prepare all products according to the list. You can use any meat, this time I have pork. Dry or ready-canned beans are suitable. If you are using regular beans, they should first be soaked overnight and then boiled until tender.

Peel potatoes, onions, carrots and garlic. Wash the vegetables and dry with napkins.

Cut the meat into small pieces of the same size.

Cut the onions and carrots into cubes or in any other way convenient for you.

Chop the potatoes into squares or cubes.

Pour refined vegetable oil into a cauldron or thick-bottomed pan and heat it. Place the meat in the cauldron. Stirring, fry it until golden brown. Add onions and carrots. Stir and cook for another 5 minutes. The link at the end of the recipe will help you choose oil for frying.

Add tomato paste and finely chopped garlic. At this stage, you can add 0.5-1 tsp. sugar to balance the taste.

Mix well and cook for a couple more minutes.

Place the potatoes in the cauldron.

Salt to taste and sprinkle with your favorite spices. I used sweet paprika, ground black pepper and a pinch of thyme. Mix everything.

Add bay leaf and pour in water. How much water should I use? If you want to end up with potatoes and meat in the form of a thick soup, then pour in a little more than 500 ml of water. Bring everything to a boil over high heat. Next, reduce the heat to moderate and simmer under the lid for about 15-20 minutes (until the potatoes are ready). Open the lid slightly to allow steam to escape.

Drain liquid from canned beans. Add the beans to the potatoes and meat, stir and cook everything together for another 5-10 minutes.
