Ingredients (5 portions)

Basic:

Onion 1 pc
Salt to taste
Potato 10 pc
Tomato paste 2 tbsp
Beet 1 pc
Carrot 1 pc
Vegetable oil (for frying) 2 tbsp
Dry spices 0.5 tsp
Chicken (hip) 300 g

Peel the potatoes and cut them as you like. I have them in small blocks.

Take a chicken thigh, peel off the skin and put it in boiling water, cook until done. Water should be salted to taste.

Cut the boiled meat into portions.

Place raw potatoes in a saucepan with broth and cook over low heat.

Peel and dice the onion. Grate the carrots. And fry them in vegetable oil.

Add grated beets and stir. Add tomato paste and fry some more. Add the frying to the half-cooked potatoes. Immediately add the chicken and cook over low heat. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Serve borscht in chicken broth with sour cream or mayonnaise. Bon appetit!
