Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to cook tom yam with coconut milk? Peel the garlic. Cut off the top layer of ginger. Finely chop the chili pepper, garlic and ginger with a knife. Alternatively, you can pass the garlic through a press and grate the ginger on a fine grater.

Step 2

Step 2
Place the pan in which you plan to cook the soup on the stove, pour oil into it, and heat it well. Fry this cut on it for several minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly. Then reduce the heat and simmer the mixture for another couple of minutes.

Step 3

Step 3
Crush the peppercorns coarsely; this can be easily done with a regular rolling pin. Combine pepper and paprika.

Step 4

Step 4
Peel the onion, cut into half rings, and cut the tomato into large slices.

Step 5

Step 5
Wash the champignons, dry and cut into strips.

Step 6

Step 6
Pour water into the pan with the fried chilli, garlic and ginger and bring it to a boil over medium heat.

Step 7

Step 7
Then add lemongrass, seafood, onions and mushrooms to the pan. I took a ready-made seafood cocktail, but you can also use individual seafood — shrimp, mussels, squid. Wait until it boils again and reduce the heat. Cook the soup for 8-10 minutes at low boil.

Step 8

Step 8
Finally, add the tomatoes, coconut milk, lemon zest and paprika and let the soup return to a boil. Taste it and add salt to taste. After 2-3 minutes, the saucepan can be removed from the stove. Serve the soup hot, pour into bowls. Bon appetit!
