Slow Cooker Mixed Meat Solyanka

Amazingly tasty and aromatic hodgepodge! And the slow cooker will cook it! I love solyanka very much, so I cook it often. It is especially good the day after the holidays, because it helps to cope with the unpleasant consequences of a feast, when you no longer want anything from the amount of food eaten. A multicooker appeared in my house recently and since then I have been constantly adapting my favorite recipes to it. The soups in it turn out especially well due to the simmering effect like in a Russian oven! Solyanka was no exception!

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Required Ingredients

Step 2

Step 2
Cut the beef into medium pieces

Step 3

Step 3
Place it in the multicooker bowl and fill it with hot water. It can be cold, but then the cooking time will need to be increased taking into account the heating of the water.

Step 4

Step 4
Set the "Soup" program for 2 hours

Step 5

Step 5
When the program is already coming to an end, chop all the other ingredients for the hodgepodge — first the onion

Step 6

Step 6
Then cut the ham into thin strips

Step 7

Step 7
Cervelat in straws

Step 8

Step 8
Boiled sausage, also in strips

Step 9

Step 9
The program is over — the meat is cooked

Step 10

Step 10
Leave the beef to cool

Step 11

Step 11
And pour the broth into another container

Step 12

Step 12
Pour vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl and add onions

Step 13

Step 13
Set the "Baking" program and leave to fry for 7 minutes.

Step 14

Step 14
In the meantime, cut the cucumbers into strips. I took fermented cucumbers, very sharp, I like them most in hodgepodge

Step 15

Step 15
Cut green olives into thin slices

Step 16

Step 16
Add the olives and cucumbers to the onions, mix and leave for 5 minutes

Step 17

Step 17
Meanwhile, cut the beef into portions

Step 18

Step 18
After 5 minutes, add tomato paste, pour in tomato juice and leave for another 8 minutes. I really like homemade tomato juice combined with tomato paste, but, of course, you can use one or the other

Step 19

Step 19
Lay out the chopped meat products and leave in the same mode for 10 minutes

Step 20

Step 20
Then pour in beef broth, add bay leaf, and optional olive brine. At this stage you need to taste for salt — there is enough salt for me, I didn’t add more salt. Leave until the end of the Baking program. This program assumes a high temperature, so it will boil strongly. If youʼre not in a hurry, you can leave it on the "Soup" or "Cook" program for an hour.

Step 21

Step 21
After 15 minutes, the multicooker signaled the end of the program — leave the hodgepodge to brew for at least 15 minutes

Step 22

Step 22
In the meantime, letʼs prepare everything for serving.

Step 23

Step 23
We cut half the onion into half rings and place it on a plate, it will add its unique aroma and a little pungency to our hodgepodge, and due to the fact that the hodgepodge is hot, it will marinate and will not be bitter

Step 24

Step 24
Finely chop the greens, cut the olives in half, cut off a circle of lemon

Step 25

Step 25
Pour hot hodgepodge into a plate with onions, sprinkle herbs on top, lay out a slice of lemon and olives. Bon appetit!
