How to cook cabbage soup with stew and fresh cabbage? To do this, you need to prepare all the ingredients. Vegetables: peel onions, carrots, potatoes and rinse in running water to remove dirt. Remove the top 2-4 leaves from the cabbage head. They wonʼt be needed. Stew can be taken from any type of meat. Iʼll use pulled pork.

Pour the required amount of water into the pan, put it on the fire and bring to a boil. Cut the peeled potatoes into small pieces. Chop fresh cabbage thinly.

Add prepared potatoes and cabbage to boiling water. Leave to cook for 20 minutes.

At this time, start frying vegetables. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Heat the frying pan until hot and pour in a little vegetable oil. Add onions and carrots and fry for a couple of minutes.

Wash the tomatoes, cut into two parts and remove the stem. Cut the tomatoes into cubes and add to the pan with the vegetables. Next add a couple of tablespoons of tomato paste. Mix everything and fry for another 3-4 minutes. During this time, the tomatoes will release juice and become soft.

Place the stewed meat from the can in a hot frying pan and heat until it melts.

Place the stew into the pan. Add bay leaf for flavor. Add salt and spices to taste. Boil everything together for a couple more minutes and remove the pan from the heat. Cover with a lid and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
