Water 2 l
Rice 100 g
Potato 300 g
Bay leaf 1 pc
Tomato paste 1 tbsp
Carrot 1 pc
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
Beef heart 500 g

How to cook beef heart soup? Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Wash the potatoes, peel and cut into cubes.

Wash the carrots, peel and grate on a coarse or medium grater.

Pour clean water into a saucepan, put a whole peeled onion in it, put it on the fire and bring to a boil. Some recipes write that the heart can be boiled in the same water (or rather broth) in which it was boiled. But it seems to me that this is not entirely correct, since some of the ducts in the heart are difficult to reach, so during cooking the broth may darken from blood residues. Therefore, I prefer to drain the broth from the heart and cook the soup in clean water.

Rinse the rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.

Place potatoes and rice in boiling broth, add bay leaf. Bring to a boil again and cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes.

Wash the beef heart thoroughly, soak in cold water for 30 minutes and rinse again. Boil the heart in salted water with the addition of allspice for about 1.5 hours until tender. Remove the heart from the broth and cut into cubes.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the pieces of beef heart for about 5 minutes.

Add the carrots to the heart and fry everything together for another 2-3 minutes.

Add tomato paste to the heart with carrots and stir

Fry everything together for another 2-3 minutes.

Place the fried beef heart and carrots into the soup and cook everything together for another 5-7 minutes. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste.
