Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to stew sauerkraut with meat in a slow cooker? Prepare everything you need according to the list. For the recipe, I used a piece of pork neck, which made the finished dish especially juicy. You can take any part of the animal. If you have a frozen piece of pork, you should first defrost it.

Step 2

Step 2
Cut the pork into small cubes, about 1 cm by 1 cm.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel the onions and carrots, rinse and dry with paper towels. Cut the onion into half rings or cubes. Grate the carrots using a coarse grater.

Step 4

Step 4
Set the multicooker to the “Baking” or “Frying” mode. When the bowl is hot, pour a small amount of vegetable oil into it. Send the onions and carrots to fry. Cook, stirring, until the onion becomes slightly translucent.

Step 5

Step 5
Add pork to roast. Stirring occasionally, fry for 15-20 minutes.

Step 6

Step 6
Drain the cabbage in a colander and rinse in clean cold water.

Step 7

Step 7
Cut the tomatoes into small slices or cubes. If desired, remove the skins from the tomatoes first. To do this, pour boiling water over the tomatoes, leave for a minute, then drain the water. Next, remove the skin. By the way, tomatoes can be replaced with tomato paste or tomatoes in their own juice.

Step 8

Step 8
Add garlic, not very finely chopped, and your favorite dry herbs or seasonings to the meat. Squeeze the cabbage from the water and place it together with the tomatoes in the multicooker bowl.

Step 9

Step 9
Add bay leaf and salt to taste. If you have out-of-season tomatoes, then add a pinch of sugar, then the taste of the finished dish will be more balanced. Pour in about 50 ml. boiling water and mix everything thoroughly. You can add a little more water, depending on the juiciness of the tomatoes.

Step 10

Step 10
Close the multicooker with a lid, set the “Stew” mode and leave until ready (1 hour). Stir the cabbage and meat two or three times during cooking. Focus on the features of your multicooker.

Step 11

Step 11
Ready! When serving, offer each person a bowl of ground black pepper.
