Chicken and Carrot Cabbage Stew

A hearty hot dish of cabbage with chicken fillet. This dish is suitable for both a festive table and an everyday menu. Chicken meat with vegetables does not need to be fried too much, just until the meat is lightly browned — as a result, the finished stewed cabbage should turn out to be a bright orange color.

Salt 1 tsp
Water 2 cup
Tomato paste 1 tbsp
Carrot 100 g
White cabbage 700 g
Bulb onions 150 g
Vegetable oil 3 tbsp
Dry spices (for chicken) 1 tsp
Chicken fillet 300 g

To prepare delicious stewed cabbage with chicken, prepare all the ingredients according to the list. Wash the vegetables, peel the onions and carrots. Chicken meat can be taken from any part of the chicken, as well as wings and thighs on the bone. But in this recipe we use chicken fillet. For dressing, take a little tomato paste, for spices — spices for chicken and for frying chicken — vegetable oil.

Cut the chicken fillet into large cubes.

Pour vegetable oil into the bottom of the pan, heat it and place the chopped fillet in the pan.

While the chicken is frying, chop the onion into cubes and grate the carrots.

Pour the onions and carrots into the pan with the fillet, mix and cook over medium heat for another 5 minutes.

Next, add salt to the chicken, onions and carrots, and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.

Add tomato paste to the pan and stir.

Following the tomato paste, place the shredded cabbage into the pan.

Mix the cabbage with the remaining ingredients in the pan.

Pour water into the pan with the cabbage and chicken, mix everything well again, let it boil over high heat, then reduce the heat.
