Baked Pink Salmon with Onions and Mayonnaise

Juicy and incredibly delicious! A quick dinner for the whole family! Pink salmon in the oven with onions turns out not dry at all, as it is baked under a “coat” of onions and mayonnaise. Onions also add flavor and satiety to the fish. All preparation will take you literally 5 minutes, the rest will be done by the oven.

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake pink salmon with onions and mayonnaise in the oven? Prepare your food. I have pink salmon in the form of steaks, but you can buy whole fish and cut it yourself. The weight indicated is already those parts that you will bake. The cutting method can also be any — both pieces like mine, and wide halves on the skin. Mayonnaise can be replaced with sour cream. Turn on the oven to 190 degrees.

Step 2

Step 2
Peel the onion and cut it into very thin feathers — this way it will bake better.

Step 3

Step 3
Place the onion in a bowl and add mayonnaise to it. Mix onion with mayonnaise.

Step 4

Step 4
Take a baking dish. It is not necessary to lubricate it, since the dish contains mayonnaise, which will prevent the fish from burning. But to make it easier to wash the pan after cooking, you can cover it with foil. Place pink salmon pieces into the mold. Season them with salt and freshly ground black pepper. You can also use any fish seasoning you like.

Step 5

Step 5
Place onion and mayonnaise on top of the fish. In addition to onions, you can also put grated carrots and cheese in the “coat”.

Step 6

Step 6
Bake pink salmon with onions in an oven preheated to 190°C for 30 to 40 minutes. The exact time will depend on your oven and the thickness of the pieces. Focus on the appearance of the dish — the onions should turn golden.

Step 7

Step 7
Remove the fish pan from the oven and serve. Bon appetit!
