Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to cook rice porridge with milk in the oven in a pot? Prepare your food. It is better to use round varieties of rice, not steamed — it will boil better and will not be hard. Milk is suitable for any fat content. Choose tasty, high-quality butter, without vegetable additives. I only add salt to the porridge; you can also add sugar to taste.

Step 2

Step 2
Rinse the rice in several waters until it becomes transparent. Then pour a small amount of water over the rice and let it soak a little — this will make it easier for the rice to absorb the milk.

Step 3

Step 3
It is recommended to keep the pots in water or with water for 15-20 minutes. This way the pots, when baked, will better reveal the taste of the food. Pour rice into pots, filling them 1/3 full.

Step 4

Step 4
Add half the milk and cover the pots with a lid so that the porridge simmers throughout the entire volume at the same temperature. Place the pots in a cold oven. This is necessary so that the pots do not deteriorate due to a sharp change in temperature. Turn the heat up to 180 degrees. Cook the porridge for 40-45 minutes, the exact time depends on the features of your oven. Make sure the milk doesnʼt escape.

Step 5

Step 5
When all the milk has been absorbed into the cereal, remove the pots, add the remaining milk and butter, cover the pots again with lids and put them in the oven for another 10-15 minutes. Then turn off the oven, and leave the pots to simmer for about 15 minutes. Serve the finished porridge either by transferring it to a plate, or directly in the pots. Bon appetit!
