Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make buckwheat the merchant way with minced meat? Prepare your food. Minced meat can be made from any meat; it will be tastier when mixed with pork — the dish will be juicier. You can use either ready-made minced meat or one you make yourself at home. Wash and peel the vegetables.

Step 2

Step 2
Sort the buckwheat, sifting out debris and black grains. Then rinse it well in several waters until transparent.

Step 3

Step 3
Place the cereal in a dry frying pan and dry it, stirring, over low heat. Buckwheat prepared in this way is more aromatic and tasty.

Step 4

Step 4
While the buckwheat is drying, prepare the vegetables. Finely dice the onion and grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

Step 5

Step 5
Take a saucepan, frying pan or saucepan with a thick bottom in which you plan to cook buckwheat. Heat it over low heat, add vegetable oil for frying. Add the onion and fry it in vegetable oil for 2-3 minutes until transparent.

Step 6

Step 6
Add carrots to the onions and fry them together for another 3-4 minutes.

Step 7

Step 7
Next add the minced meat, mix it well, breaking up any lumps and fry everything together for another 5-7 minutes.

Step 8

Step 8
Add tomato paste, stir and fry the minced meat for another 2-3 minutes.

Step 9

Step 9
Pour the buckwheat into the saucepan, but do not mix it with the minced meat.

Step 10

Step 10
Pour in water (the water rate is slightly less than usual 1:1.5), salt and pepper. Cook the buckwheat over low heat for about 20 minutes until the water evaporates.

Step 11

Step 11
After 20 minutes, add finely chopped garlic, stir and leave the dish on the fire for another 2-3 minutes.

Step 12

Step 12
Chop the greens. I used parsley and dill, but you can use any you like.

Step 13

Step 13
Add chopped herbs, stir — the dish is ready.

Step 14

Step 14
Divide the buckwheat into plates and serve. Bon appetit!
