Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make fluffy rice porridge? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. To make the finished porridge truly crumbly, choose a long-grain variety of rice. It doesn’t get overcooked because it’s round grain. Take exactly twice as much water as rice. In a 1:2 ratio, the rice turns out perfect.

Step 2

Step 2
Rinse the prepared rice well several times in cold water so that after rinsing you are left with clean, clear water. Why rinse rice before cooking? This is necessary in order to wash off the starch from the rice grains that remains on them after processing the rice. Pour boiling water over the rice once. Drain all excess water from the rinsed rice.

Step 3

Step 3
Now fill the rice with water in a ratio of 1:2 and put on fire. Bring rice and water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt. If you plan to use hash as a side dish, you can add a little spice to the rice. Then turn the heat to the lowest possible setting and cover the rice with a lid. Leave it to cook for 10 minutes.

Step 4

Step 4
During cooking, the rice will become larger, increase in size and absorb almost all the water.

Step 5

Step 5
Add butter to the rice. When the rice is hot, it will begin to melt immediately. Stir the rice with the oil and leave covered over low heat for another 10 minutes. Then turn off the heat and leave the rice to stand for 10-15 minutes.

Step 6

Step 6
The crumbly rice porridge is ready! Place it on plates and serve. If desired, you can add a little more butter to the porridge when serving. Bon appetit!
