Mushroom & Sausage Baked Loaf

An excellent alternative to the usual pizza. Fast and tasty! Baked loaf with mushrooms, sausage and mayonnaise is interesting because it can be prepared from the ingredients that are in your refrigerator. And this is a great opportunity to “clean” the refrigerator after the holidays. Experiment — and get a new taste every time!

Ingredients (6 portions)

Basic:

Garlic 2 clove
Eggs 1 pc
Champignon 100 g
Mayonnaise 2 tbsp
Greenery to taste
Ham 200 g
Parmesan 100 g
Boiled sausage (or any other to taste) 200 g
loaf (a baguette is better, but a regular sliced one will do) 1 g
Tomato sauce 1 tbsp

How to bake a loaf with mushrooms, sausage and mayonnaise? Letʼs prepare the necessary ingredients.

Cut the champignons into thin slices

Fry in vegetable oil until the liquid evaporates

Cut the sausage into strips; any sausage you have in your refrigerator will do.

We cut the ham into strips, again you can replace it with boiled or smoked chicken at your discretion

Three cheeses, I used Parmesan — it’s more flavorful, but any hard cheese will do

Add an egg

Mayonnaise — it will give uniformity

Add good tomato sauce or ketchup, in season it can be fresh tomatoes

For piquancy, add 1-2 cloves of garlic through a press or finely grater

Grind some fresh herbs — again, take your favorite — parsley, dill, green onions, basil, etc. and so on. Mix and the filling is ready

Cut the loaf (ideally a baguette, but a regular sliced loaf will also work) lengthwise into two equal halves

Carefully remove the crumb, leaving the sides about 1 cm

Sprinkle the top with lightly grated cheese for a golden brown crust.

Bake at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes. The filling should “set” and the top should brown.
