Baked Chicken and Zucchini Casserole

An ideal family dish for holidays and every day! Zucchini with chicken in the oven is very easy to prepare. A minimum of effort is required from the hostess. You immediately get a hearty hot dish and at the same time a light vegetable side dish. Chicken meat goes well with juicy zucchini.

Ingredients (3 portions)

Basic:

Garlic 3 clove
Salt to taste
Mustard 1 tbsp
Sour cream 100 g
Zucchini 1 pc
Dry spices to taste
Turmeric 1 tsp
Chicken (approximate quantity. You can have any parts of chicken or fillet, you can have turkey. I have chicken legs) 1400 g

How to make zucchini with chicken in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. For baking, you can use any parts of the chicken or take a whole chicken and cut it into pieces. Iʼll cook chicken drumsticks.

In a large bowl, combine sour cream and mustard. Add turmeric, salt and spices. I use a mixture of ground peppers as a spice.

Peel the garlic and pass it through a press directly into the bowl. Mix all ingredients together.

Young zucchini does not need to be peeled and cored. Rinse the zucchini in running water and cut off the tails on both sides. Cut the zucchini into pieces. There is no need to cut very finely.

Place the chopped zucchini in a bowl with the sour cream marinade.

Add chicken drumsticks to this. Mix all ingredients so that the sour cream marinade covers the chicken and zucchini on all sides. Leave everything to stand for 1 hour.

Any heat-resistant form is suitable for baking. I will bake in a ceramic form. Place the chicken with the zucchini and marinade in the pan. I placed most of the zucchini in the bottom of the pan. Then I laid out the chicken and the remaining zucchini in between.

Place chopped tomatoes in between. Cover the pan with foil and place in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 45-60 minutes. When baking, use your oven as a guide.

About 20 minutes before the end of baking, remove the sheet of foil from the pan so that the dish browns a little. Remove the finished chicken and zucchini from the oven, place on plates and serve hot. The added turmeric turns the chicken yellow. Bon appetit!
