Tangerine Roasted Chicken

But the dish seemed very interesting not only to me, but also to my family. The chicken turns out juicy, aromatic, tender and tasty... and healthy too! On New Yearʼs Eve, which many people associate with the aroma of tangerine, this dish, I think, may be the most relevant on the holiday table. Try this delicious and original dish!

Ingredients (12 portions)

Basic:

Garlic (or 6 medium cloves) 5 clove
Olive oil 4 tbsp
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Ginger (small piece) to taste
Paprika to taste
Soy sauce 2 tbsp
Cognac 2 tbsp
Chicken legs (you can take both drumsticks and legs) 12 pc
Tangerines 6 pc

We prepare the products. We wash tangerines, ginger root, garlic (and, unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the garlic :( ). Wash the chicken thighs (pullets or other parts of the chicken) thoroughly.

Using a sharp knife, separate the bone from the meat and remove the tendons. For a festive feast, it is much more convenient to use boneless meat. You can even remove the skin. (By the way, bones can be used when cooking broth).

Place all the pieces of boneless meat — chicken fillet — into a bowl or other container, add salt and leave for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, peel the tangerines and divide them into slices.

Peel the garlic cloves and ginger root, chop very finely (the ginger can be grated on a fine grater).

And prepare the marinade: combine ginger with chopped garlic and soy sauce, add cognac, paprika and pepper to taste.

Then fry the chicken fillet in a frying pan in olive oil on both sides until golden brown.

Pour the resulting marinade over the fried drumsticks and let stand for 10 minutes. Then place the chicken fillet along with the tangerines in a baking dish and pour in the remaining marinade that has not been absorbed. Set for 15 — 20 minutes. bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees.
