Sprinkle the finished dish with chopped herbs. In addition to the legs, you can use other parts of the chicken — chicken fillet, or just drumsticks, thighs or wings. Chicken can be replaced with any other meat.

Ingredients (4 portions)

Basic:

Salt 1 tsp
Ground black pepper 0.5 tsp
Water (warm) 500 ml
Rice 200 g
Carrot 1 pc
Dry spices (for legs) 1 tsp
Chicken legs 500 g

Prepare the ingredients. To cook chicken legs with rice in the oven we will need: chicken legs; rice; carrot; warm water; spices for legs; ground black pepper and salt.

Rinse the rice thoroughly, cover with cold water and leave for 20 minutes. Then drain the water.

Wash the legs, dry, sprinkle with spices for legs and 1/2 tsp. salt.

Distribute the spices over the legs.

Add the remaining 1/2 tsp to warm water. salt and pepper, stir until the salt dissolves.

Peel the carrots and grate on a coarse grater.

Combine rice with carrots and mix.

Place rice in a baking dish and smooth it out. Place the chicken legs on top. Pour in water with spices.

Cover the pan with foil and place in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 50 minutes. To get a golden crust on the legs, you can bake the meat without foil for about another 20-25 minutes.
