Water 50 ml
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
Sesame 2 tbsp
Soy sauce 50 ml
Chicken legs (or other parts of the chicken) 5 pc

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to fry chicken drumsticks in soy sauce? Prepare all ingredients. Choose oil with a high smoke point. If you bought frozen chicken legs, then first defrost them, preferably slowly, on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. Then wash the shins and pat dry with napkins.

Step 2

Step 2
Fry washed and dried chicken drumsticks in a heated frying pan in vegetable oil for 2-3 minutes on each side. At this stage of cooking, we do not strive to bring the drumsticks to readiness; it is important for us to fry them on top, sealing all the juices inside. The finished chicken will be much tastier in this case.

Step 3

Step 3
Pour water into the pan and simmer over low heat, covered, for about 15 minutes. Since everyone’s dishes and equipment are different, make sure that the water in the pan does not boil away during this time. If the water evaporates too quickly, add a little more water to prevent the chicken from burning.

Step 4

Step 4
Then open the lid, sprinkle each drumstick with sugar and simmer under the lid for about 10 minutes.

Step 5

Step 5
Now pour in the soy sauce and simmer covered for another 5-7 minutes, turning the drumsticks periodically.

Step 6

Step 6
Sprinkle the finished chicken with sesame seeds and serve with your favorite side dish. Bon appetit!
