Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make homemade lemonade from oranges? Prepare everything you need for this. For the lemonade itself, only one orange is needed. But if you want to add a few slices to the carafe or glasses, then have an extra one in stock. For lemonade, choose a larger orange. For me it weighs 280 grams. Rinse it thoroughly and pour boiling water over it.

Step 2

Step 2
Place the orange in the freezer for 2-3 hours to freeze. Then remove and let it come to room temperature so it can be easily sliced. Why freeze an orange? After defrosting, there will be more juice from it and the bitterness that comes from the peel will go away.

Step 3

Step 3
Cut the defrosted orange into pieces, remove the seeds and place in the chopper bowl.

Step 4

Step 4
Grind the orange until fine. There is no need to puree it.

Step 5

Step 5
Place the chopped orange in a saucepan and pour in 500 ml of water. Stir and leave to stand for 30-40 minutes to allow the drink to infuse.

Step 6

Step 6
Then strain the drink through a fine sieve. Add another 1.5 liters of water, sugar and citric acid to the strained drink. Mix everything well until the sugar dissolves and put the drink in the refrigerator to brew a little and cool. The amount of sugar depends on your taste and the sweetness of the orange itself.

Step 7

Step 7
For quick cooling, add a few ice cubes to the glass of your drink. This drink can be stored for 24 hours at room temperature. But it drinks much faster. Enjoy your meal!
