Step 1
How to make gravy for minced meat cutlets with tomato paste? Prepare the necessary ingredients. You can use any minced meat for cutlets: pork, beef, chicken or mixed. I have minced beef and pork.

Prepare the cutlets. Wash the pre-peeled onions. Chop one onion on a fine grater.

Step 3

Step 3
Soak the crumb of white bread or loaf in milk or water.

Step 4

Step 4
Place the minced meat in a suitable sized bowl. Add the egg, soaked bread and onions to the minced meat. Salt the minced meat, add ground black pepper and mix well.

Step 5

Step 5
Form round or oval cutlets from the resulting minced meat. At the same time, you can lightly moisten your hands with water so that the minced meat does not stick.

Step 6

Step 6
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Place the cutlets in the pan. Over moderately high heat, fry the cutlets until lightly browned on one side. Then turn over to the other side and brown as well. Remove cutlets from pan. For tips on choosing a frying pan and oil for cooking, read the articles at the appropriate links after the recipe description.

Step 12

Step 12
Place the cutlets in the gravy and cook them over low heat for about 15 minutes. If all the water has boiled away, add more hot water.
