For one kilogram of chicken:

Garlic 2 clove
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Honey 1.5 tbsp
Mustard 1 tsp
Soy sauce 70 ml

How to make honey mustard marinade for chicken? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Choose liquid honey, not candied. If this is the only one available, then melt it a little in a water bath. Choose spicy mustard, Russian is perfect. Place the honey in a bowl in which the marinade will be prepared. It will be good if it is large enough so that the entire volume of the chicken can subsequently fit into it.

Peel the garlic and cut into thin slices. Why do I prefer sliced garlic rather than grated garlic? The thing is that before frying, the garlic plates from the marinade can be easily removed. Which is what I always do. But if the garlic is in a smaller form, it is unlikely to be removed, and it will most likely burn when fried.

Squeeze the lemon juice. To be on the safe side, it is better to squeeze the juice through a fine strainer so that no bones get into the marinade. Mix the marinade thoroughly. Honey is always quite difficult to mix with other ingredients; persistence is required here. Marinate the chicken in the marinade for at least two hours to ensure the meat is thoroughly marinated.
