Sour cream 50 g

How to make sour cream sauce — gravy simply and tasty? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. You can use sour cream of any fat content. I have 20% sour cream. The higher the fat content of the sour cream, the creamier the taste of the finished sauce will be.

Heat a small frying pan until hot and sift the flour into it. Turn the heat down. In a dry frying pan, fry the flour, stirring until it becomes slightly creamy. Then cool the flour so that it is not so hot.

Pour some hot water into the pan and mix it with the flour. Lumps form from the flour. Rub them with a spatula until they disappear.

Then pour in the remaining water and, stirring, bring the sauce to a boil. Boil it over low heat for 2-3 minutes.

Now add sour cream to the sauce. Stir it until smooth. Salt the sauce to taste. Depending on the purpose of using the finished sauce, you can add spices — ground pepper, paprika or dried herbs. Slowly bring the sour cream sauce to a boil.

The added flour thickens the gravy. If you like a more liquid version, you can add a little more water. To make the gravy more homogeneous, you can pass the sauce through a sieve or punch it with an immersion blender.
