Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make homemade mustard with cucumber pickle from powder? First, prepare all the necessary ingredients for cooking. You will need only three ingredients — mustard powder, refined vegetable oil and brine. You can take absolutely any brine. It can be cucumber, tomato or cabbage pickle. The richer and spicier it is, the brighter the taste of the finished mustard will be. Take only fresh mustard powder

Step 2

Step 2
Place the mustard powder in a bowl, and gradually pour in the heated brine, stir. Donʼt pour all the brine into the bowl at once; it will be difficult to stir without lumps and you wonʼt be able to control how thick it is. Since the brine already has enough flavor, you wonʼt need to add salt, sugar or vinegar. But if you wish, you can make it more interesting in taste by adding hot pepper, applesauce, tomato sauce or honey.

Step 3

Step 3
Pour vegetable oil into the bowl with the mustard and stir. Vegetable oil will soften the taste of the finished mustard and make it velvety. This will make it easier to apply and spread when eating. You can also add nutmeg or ground cloves. Place in a jar, close tightly and leave at room temperature for 8 hours to infuse. Then put it in the refrigerator and store it there.

Step 4
Bon appetit and enjoy.
