Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make ranch sauce? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Use thick sour cream. It can be replaced with mayonnaise and buttermilk. Buttermilk is a fermented milk product similar in consistency to thick yogurt. Buttermilk can be found in the store in powder form, which must be diluted with water to make a sauce. It is better to use mayonnaise with a neutral taste. Instead of fresh herbs, you can use dried herbs, but in the first option the sauce will be more tender and more aromatic.

Step 2

Step 2
A mixture of green onions, parsley and dill is used as herbs for the ranch sauce. Wash the greens thoroughly and dry with paper towels. Finely chop the parsley and dill with a knife.

Step 3

Step 3
Finely chop the green onions with a knife. To create a special pleasant aftertaste, you can add a couple of basil leaves.

Step 4

Step 4
Peel the garlic cloves and finely chop them with a knife, grate them or pass them through a press. You can use garlic powder instead of fresh garlic.

Step 5

Step 5
Place sour cream in a bowl. Add herbs and garlic. Add mustard powder, salt, ground black pepper, paprika, add a little sugar to balance the taste.

Step 6

Step 6
Mix everything thoroughly. To give the sauce a pleasant sour taste, add a little lemon juice to it. Instead of lemon juice, you can use vinegar: balsamic, apple or wine. Mix the mixture. Let it cool a little in the refrigerator and serve as a salad dressing or hot dish. Bon appetit!
