Garlic-Infused Country-Style Pan Potatoes

Everyone loves fragrant, golden-brown potatoes. The main thing is not to get carried away! Country-style potatoes are a favorite classic, usually cooked in the oven, but they turn out just as good in a frying pan. Try it!

Ingredients (4 portions)

Basic:

Garlic 1 clove
Ground black pepper to taste
Wheat flour 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Potato 700 g
Ground red pepper (pinch) to taste
Salo (lard or vegetable oil) 80 g
Italian herbs (pinch) to taste

Cut potatoes into slices

Cook in salted water for 5 minutes from boiling — this way the potatoes will be thoroughly fried and get rid of excess starch

After 5 minutes, remove the potatoes and dry

Finely chop the lard. Can be replaced with cooking oil or just vegetable oil

Heat in a frying pan until cracklings appear

Lightly roll the potatoes in flour, just a little bit literally, so that they are not wet

Fry in a heated frying pan over fairly high heat, there is no need to stir at all for the first 5 minutes, then stir very carefully, prying it from below
