Quick & Easy Soy Sauce Fried Rice

The perfect side dish — quick, easy and delicious! Rice with soy sauce in a frying pan — an Asian-style dish. It can be served on its own or with meat, poultry, fish, mushrooms, vegetables, and herbs. Itʼs also good with gravy. You can cook on the stove or in the microwave in minutes!

Ingredients (4 portions)

Basic:

Garlic 1 clove
Water 1.5 cup
Rice 1 cup
Vegetable oil 3 tbsp
Soy sauce 2 tbsp

How to make rice with soy sauce in a frying pan? Prepare the necessary ingredients. This dish can be prepared either on the stove in a saucepan or frying pan, or in the microwave. Use filtered water, not tap water, as the taste of the dish will depend on this.

Both round and long grain rice are suitable. Rinse it well in several waters, one of which may be hot — it washes the rice flour more thoroughly. Drain excess liquid from rice through a colander.

Crush the garlic clove with the back of a knife and peel off the peel.

Pour refined vegetable oil into a frying pan (I use olive oil) and heat it up. Place the garlic in a heated frying pan and fry it, stirring for about 1-2 minutes over medium heat.

Place washed rice in the pan with the garlic. If you want, you can remove the garlic from the pan, I left it. Pour a glass of hot water over the rice in a 1:1 ratio. Cook over low heat until the water evaporates. If cooking in the microwave, place the rice in a microwave-safe container and cook on high for 10 minutes.

Now add soy sauce to the rice and stir. Pour in another half a glass of hot water, continue simmering under the lid on low heat. Or return the bowl of rice to the microwave, turning it on at 80% power and setting the timer for 8 minutes.

Cook the rice until tender over low heat, covered, for about 10 minutes.

Wash and finely chop the green onions.

Place the rice on a plate and top with chopped green onions and optional hot pepper. Serve the dish with herbs as a side dish for meat, chicken, fish, and mushrooms. Bon appetit!
