How to make a fried loaf in an egg in a frying pan? Prepare the ingredients. Any loaf can be used. If the loaf is narrow, like a baguette, then it is enough to cut it into thin circles no more than 1 centimeter thick. It is better to cut the pieces of a wide loaf into several pieces. For such a dish, you can even use slightly dried or yesterday’s bread. If you don’t have a loaf, you can replace it with white bread, but with a loaf it turns out richer, more tender and tastier.

Beat the eggs into a bowl, add a pinch of salt and ground black pepper to taste.

Using a fork or mixer, beat the eggs until the mixture is homogeneous in consistency and the salt is completely dissolved. If you want the croutons from the loaf in the egg to be sweet, then instead of ground black pepper you need to add sugar to taste.

Place the loaf pieces in the pan, after dipping them in the egg mixture. There is no need to keep the loaf in the egg mixture for a long time so that it does not become heavily saturated with liquid, otherwise it may not bake. Fry the loaf pieces in an egg over medium heat on one side until golden brown.

Then turn the loaf pieces over to the other side with a spatula and fry them until golden brown. To be sure that the loaf with egg is fried well, you can close the frying pan with a lid and keep the frying pan on the fire for a couple more minutes.

Place the finished loaf on a plate and serve with tea, coffee or cocoa. If desired, pieces of loaf can be sprinkled with chopped fresh herbs, and if the croutons are sweet, they can be served with jam or preserves. Bon appetit!
