Baked Mushroom and Cheese Sandwiches

Delicious sandwiches with champignons — a hearty dish in a matter of minutes. I really love hot sandwiches with smoked meat or bacon and cheese. They are tasty and satisfying, good even when cooled, and are a great help on the road, because heat treatment in the oven somehow preserves the food in them. My husband and I took them with us more than once when traveling. But sandwiches with mushrooms and cheese are a separate issue. When you eat them, you immediately think of mushroom pizza, and the cheese crust and crusty bread are so delicious! The combination of cheese and mushrooms is a classic. Making these sandwiches is a pleasure. And the aroma coming from the oven immediately whets your appetite! This dish is suitable as a breakfast. It would also be appropriate on a holiday table. Try it, you will love these fragrant and crispy sandwiches.

Ingredients (10 portions)

Basic:

Butter 40 g
Hard cheese 125 g
Bulb onions (small) 2 pc
Champignon 250 g
Mayonnaise 4 tbsp
Greenery (For decoration) to taste
Sunflower oil 3 tbsp
loaf (10 slices, take white bread, sliced) 1 g

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make sandwiches with fried champignons in the oven? The greens are washed, dried, the onions are peeled and washed.

Step 2

Step 2
Finely chop the onion and fry in a frying pan with sunflower oil, stirring, for 3-4 minutes over medium heat. We clean the champignons, wash them and cut them into thin slices. Add the mushrooms to the onions and continue to fry together until the onions and champignons are lightly fried and acquire an appetizing, rosy color.

Step 3

Step 3
Lightly, in a very thin layer, grease the slices of bread with butter (just to cover the holes in the bread :)), not forgetting that the mushrooms and onions were fried in sunflower oil. But it’s still worth spreading butter on the bread — during baking, the butter melts and the bread turns out juicier. In addition, butter imparts its flavor to the bread.

Step 4

Step 4
Grate the cheese.

Step 5

Step 5
Place the champignons and onions carefully on the bread, trying to keep the oil in the pan. If you have time, you can drain the mushrooms and onions in a colander to drain the oil.

Step 6

Step 6
Apply mayonnaise in thin strips to the sandwiches.

Step 7

Step 7
Sprinkle grated cheese on top. And set it for 5 minutes. into a hot oven (200-220 degrees). Decorate the finished sandwiches with herbs. Attention! 1. If you want the sandwiches to be soft and the cheese to melt a little, keep them in the oven for a shorter time at a lower temperature, for example, at 180 degrees. 3-4 min. 2. And if you hold the sandwiches at 200-220 degrees. 5-6 minutes, then the bread will be appetizingly golden brown, with a delicious crispy crust on the bottom, like croutons. Very tasty
