Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make hot egg sandwiches in the oven? Prepare your food. Toast bread is best, square, then the sandwiches will turn out neat and even. I took boiled sausage, but in general ham and any meat will do. It is very convenient to use ready-made cuts.

Step 2

Step 2
Immediately turn on the oven to preheat at 180°C while you are assembling the sandwiches, it will be ready. Take two pieces of bread and cut out the centers, leaving a border a little more than a centimeter wide at the edges. Leave the remaining two pieces whole. Make croutons from the cut out centers.

Step 3

Step 3
Grate the cheese on a medium grater. Any cheese is suitable for this dish — hard, semi-hard, soft, such as mozzarella. The main thing is that it is tasty, of high quality, without milk fat substitutes and melts well.

Step 4

Step 4
Take a small baking sheet or baking dish large enough to hold the sandwiches. Line it with parchment — after cooking you won’t need to wash it, it’s very convenient. Place two whole slices of bread on the paper.

Step 5

Step 5
Place slices of sausage or ham on the bread. Sprinkle cheese on top. A very small amount of cheese is enough for the dish; it is needed only to hold the egg and sausage together. The egg still plays the main role.

Step 6

Step 6
Place frames from the other two pieces on top. Carefully break the eggs into the resulting indentations. Try to keep the yolk intact. Place half a cherry tomato next to the yolk (it is needed more for beauty). Salt and pepper the egg on top. Keep in mind that there is still sausage and cheese below, which already contain salt; do not over-salt.

Step 7

Step 7
Bake the sandwiches for 15-20 minutes until the whites are set and the yolk remains runny.

Step 8

Step 8
Remove the sandwiches from the oven and serve immediately. Bon appetit!
