Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to cook Lenten manti with potatoes and pumpkin? Itʼs not difficult at all. Prepare all the necessary products. To make the dough elastic and not tear, take grade 1 and grade 2 flour in equal proportions. Read more about flour in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.

Step 2

Step 2
Dissolve salt in water and add vegetable oil. Sift the flour onto a rolling board. Make a depression in the middle of the slide. Pour in water and start kneading the dough.

Step 3

Step 3
The kneaded dough will be smooth, elastic and will not stick to your hands. Cover with film and let sit for 20 minutes.

Step 4

Step 4
Meanwhile, start preparing the filling. Wash all root vegetables thoroughly and dry.

Step 5

Step 5
Finely chop the onion with a knife.

Step 6

Step 6
Peel and seed the pumpkin and cut into small cubes.

Step 7

Step 7
Peel the potatoes and chop them finely. Mix all vegetables in a deep bowl, add salt and pepper. You can add cumin. I added dill seed. I like its taste in potato dishes.

Step 8

Step 8
Roll out the dough into a sausage shape and cut into pieces the size of a walnut.

Step 9

Step 9
Roll out each piece thinly. Place the filling in the middle and seal.

Step 10

Step 10
Grease the grate of the pressure cooker with vegetable oil. Place the manti and steam for 30 minutes after the water boils over medium heat. The exact time will depend on the size of the manta rays. You can also use a double boiler or multicooker with a special steam grate (select the mode according to the instructions for use for your device). You can even build a steamer from a saucepan and a colander.

Step 11

Step 11
Lenten manti with potatoes and pumpkin are ready. You can serve them with herbs and tomato sauce. Bon appetit!
