Greenery to taste

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make cauliflower with tomatoes? Very simple! First of all, prepare all the necessary ingredients for the recipe. Cabbage can be taken fresh or frozen. It is permissible to use tomatoes either fresh or canned in their own juice. I have frozen cauliflower and fresh tomatoes. Separate the cabbage into small florets. Peel the onion and garlic and rinse.

Step 2

Step 2
Boil water in a saucepan. Place the cauliflower in boiling water and keep it there for literally 30-40 seconds (or a little longer if you have large pieces). Drain the inflorescences in a colander.

Step 3

Step 3
Wash the tomatoes and dry with paper towels. If desired, remove the skins from the tomatoes first. Cut the tomatoes into large cubes.

Step 4

Step 4
Heat vegetable or olive oil in a frying pan. Place the onions, cut into cubes or half rings, into the frying pan. Fry over high heat, stirring, until golden brown.

Step 5

Step 5
Add cauliflower to onions. Stir with a wooden spatula and fry for a few more seconds.

Step 6

Step 6
Add tomatoes, stir.

Step 7

Step 7
Salt everything to taste. At this stage, you can add your favorite spices. I sprinkled with ground red paprika and thyme. Stir, cover with a lid, reduce the flame to moderate and simmer for about 7-10 minutes. Periodically open the lid and stir the contents of the pan. The tomatoes will give juice, which will allow the cabbage to stew rather than fry. If there is not enough liquid, then pour in a little boiling water.

Step 8

Step 8
Sprinkle the finished dish with ground black pepper and finely chopped herbs. This time I have chives and parsley. You can serve it to the table! Very tasty both hot and cold. Bon appetit!
