Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make an avocado and herb appetizer on bread? Prepare your food. Choose ripe, soft avocados. If you come across hard fruits, then put them in a bag with the apples — they will ripen in a couple of days. Choose tuna in its own juice, not in oil. If you have canned food with oil, then do not add it again later. The best greens to use are parsley or cilantro. Use a mini baguette or small tartlets as a base for the snack.

Step 2

Step 2
If you choose bread as the basis for serving the snack, then cut it into small pieces. You can lightly dry them in a dry frying pan or leave them soft, whichever you prefer.

Step 3

Step 3
Chop the onion as finely as possible.

Step 4

Step 4
Place the chopped onion in a bowl, add the tuna there, it is better to remove it from the jar first. Mash the fish with a fork; if there are large bones in it, remove them.

Step 5

Step 5
Cut the avocado in half lengthwise. Cut the flesh directly into the skin into squares, then remove it with a spoon and place it in a bowl with the tuna.

Step 6

Step 6
Pour lemon juice over the top of the avocado — it will prevent the flesh from darkening prematurely. Pour in vegetable oil. You can use any oil — olive or sunflower will do.

Step 7

Step 7
Wash the greens, dry and finely chop. Add it to other products. Dry the sesame seeds in a dry frying pan — then they will reveal their aroma brighter. Place sesame seeds into a bowl. Add salt and pepper to your taste, keeping in mind that canned food contains salt.

Step 8

Step 8
Mix all the ingredients with a fork, trying to mash the avocado thoroughly. It should look like a pate.

Step 9

Step 9
Spread the avocado mixture onto slices of bread or into tartlets.

Step 10

Step 10
Decorate a simple avocado appetizer any way you like. I put half a cherry tomato on top and pierced it all together with a skewer — it turned out like a canapé. Serve the appetizer right away. Bon appetit!
