Garlic 1 clove
Salt 0.5 tsp
Ground black pepper to taste
Tomato paste 1 tbsp
Carrot 500 g
Bulb onions 1 pc
Vegetable oil 3 tbsp

How to fry carrots and onions in a frying pan? Prepare the necessary products. Garlic adds flavor to the dish, but you don’t need to add it. Thanks to tomato paste, carrots and onions will turn out brighter and juicier; you can also discard it or replace it with tomato sauce, tomatoes in their own juice or ketchup.

Rinse the carrots under running cold water and peel. Grate the peeled carrots on a coarse grater.

Pour vegetable oil into a heated frying pan and add chopped carrots. Fry the carrots over medium heat, stirring, for about 10 minutes. Do not cover the pan with a lid.

Peel the onions and cut them arbitrarily: into cubes, half rings or very finely. Add chopped onion to the fried carrots and fry everything together for another 5 — 10 minutes.

Reduce the heat a little and add chopped garlic, tomato paste, salt and ground black pepper to taste. You can also add your favorite spices or dry herbs. Stir. Fry the carrots until fully cooked, about 15 minutes.
