Slow Cooker Caramelized Milk

Tasty and simple, even a child can make it for breakfast. Milk baked in a slow cooker tastes like caramel. All you need to do is pour milk into the multicooker bowl and set the program. Everything else will be done without your effort or even presence. I use this milk to make homemade fermented baked milk.

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make baked milk in a slow cooker? It’s very simple, the main thing is that the milk for preparation is natural and the fattier it is, the tastier the milk will be. You can take cow, goat or any other. Even store-bought, as long as it’s not powdered and has the highest fat content you can find. The main thing is that you are completely confident in its quality.

Step 2

Step 2
Pour milk into the multicooker bowl. The milk can be any temperature, but the warmer the milk, the less time it will take to prepare before simmering.

Step 3

Step 3
To prevent milk from escaping during cooking, place a steaming bowl on top. If you donʼt have such a bowl, grease the sides of the bowl with butter just above the level of the milk. This will keep the milk below this mark.

Step 4

Step 4
My multicooker has a Multicook function, so I set the temperature to 98 degrees and cook the milk for four hours with the lid closed. If you want milk with a more pronounced taste and color, increase the time to six hours. If there is no such function, cook the milk in the “Stew” mode for 4 hours. You can also do this in the Milk Porridge program.

Step 5

Step 5
This is how it turns out after cooking, it smells great and has a beautiful color. A film forms on top, which is removed after cooling, and the milk is poured into another container and stored in the refrigerator. You can make excellent fermented baked milk from it or add it to coffee and sweet black tea. You can also prepare porridge or milk noodles based on it.
