Cheesy Sesame Snack Sticks

Delight adults and children with delicious crispies! The sticks turn out very tasty, crispy, aromatic and cheesy! The sticks go perfectly with beer, although they didn’t last long enough to go with beer; they were all eaten almost immediately.

Ingredients (5 portions)

Basic:

Salt 0.3 tsp
Sugar 0.5 tbsp
Wheat flour 110 g
Butter 80 g
Eggs (for lubrication) 1 pc
Hard cheese 70 g
Sesame to taste
Cottage cheese 135 g

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Everything we need.

Step 2

Step 2
In the bowl of a food processor, mix flour, cottage cheese, butter (cold), sugar and salt; if desired, you can add a little ground paprika, dried herbs or ground pepper.

Step 3

Step 3
This is how wet the crumbs are.

Step 4

Step 4
We collect the lumps into a ball of dough and put them in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes (or longer).

Step 5

Step 5
Grate the cheese. Take the rested dough out of the refrigerator and roll it out into a layer. Place part of the cheese (1/3) on one half of the dough.

Step 6

Step 6
Cover with the second half of the dough. Roll out the resulting piece again, lay out some of the cheese again and cover with the second half of the dough, do this 3-4 times in total. This way we create a layered structure.

Step 7

Step 7
Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 5-7 mm thick.

Step 8

Step 8
We cut the dough into strips or, if you want, you can cut out different shapes with cookie cutters (but stripes are easier and faster :)).

Step 9

Step 9
Place the prepared sticks on a baking sheet, brush with egg (I only used white), and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. For sprinkling, you can use flax seeds, poppy seeds, sunflower seeds or dried herbs, in general, whatever is on hand.

Step 10

Step 10
Bake the sticks in an oven preheated to 200 C for about 15-20 minutes, until a bright golden crust. Let the chopsticks cool slightly and serve, bon appetit!
