Cut the loaf into slices and coat each with butter. Place the loaf slices edgewise in a circle in a greased baking dish.

Cut the washed tomatoes into circles.

Place sliced ham and tomato slices between the loaf slices.

Beat the eggs with a fork with salt, milk, pepper, and nutmeg. And pour the resulting mixture over the loaf.

Sprinkle everything with grated cheese. Bake in the oven at 180C until the dish is browned and the eggs are ready (20 minutes, maybe less)
