Perfect Fluffy Rice: Easy Slow Cooker Recipe

Fast, simple, no hassle, it always works out! Crumbled rice as a side dish in a slow cooker is a win-win recipe for those who have never been able to cook cereal without it sticking together. A multicooker will help with this, which, by the way, was originally intended specifically for cooking rice.

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to cook fluffy rice as a side dish in a slow cooker? Prepare your food. I buy Chinese rice. But with the same success you can use any other rice — both long grain and round. Read about different varieties of rice in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.

Step 2

Step 2
Rinse the rice under running cold water at least seven to eight times. The water should become completely clear. This simple method removes the starch from the rice, which is what sticks the grains together during cooking.

Step 3

Step 3
Place the rice in the multicooker bowl, pour BOILING WATER over it, add salt and oil. Stir. It is important to use boiling water so that the rice turns out fluffy. Cook rice at the appropriate setting. I have this Multicooker, 100 degrees, 20 minutes. The mode and time indicated are approximate. The name of the mode and time may differ in different multicookers; read the instructions for your equipment. Also, the cooking time depends on the type of rice.

Step 4

Step 4
After 10-15 minutes, check the rice for doneness and continue cooking if necessary. Stir the finished rice and leave on Heat for about half an hour. If there is no such mode, then simply keep the rice under a closed lid.

Step 5

Step 5
Serve rice with soy sauce as a separate dish or as a side dish. Bon appetit!
