Slow Cooker Fish & Rice: Quick, Healthy Family Dinner

A tasty, satisfying, appetizing dish for the whole family! Fish and rice are a very good combination. And cooking it in a slow cooker cuts the time in half; I call such recipes “two in one.” We cook the rice in the multicooker bowl, and the fish in the steamer bowl. As a result, in 30 minutes you have a very tasty and healthy dinner for the whole family! I add a pinch of turmeric to the rice, it turns a soft yellow color — delicious and that’s all!

Ingredients (4 portions)

Basic:

Tomatoes 3 pc
Salt to taste
Water (if you want more fluffy rice, reduce the water volume to 400 ml.) 600 ml
Pepper to taste
Rice 200 g
Sour cream 1 tbsp
Hard cheese 150 g
Parsley (For decoration) to taste
Turmeric 0.5 tsp
Hake (frozen fish fillet, whatever you want.) 300 g

Rinse the rice several times (until the water is clear), pour into the multicooker bowl, add salt and pepper to taste, add turmeric and add water (use the amount of water at your discretion, what kind of rice you like)

I advise you to place the steamer bowl on a tray (so as not to dirty the table when you put the ingredients in it), lightly grease it with vegetable oil.

Lubricate everything lightly with sour cream (if you like it thicker, you can grease it with mayonnaise).

We place the steamer bowl in the multicooker (where we already have rice in the bowl), close it and set the “steam” mode for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, the fish is ready, you need to check the rice — if the liquid has not evaporated yet, then (removing the steamer) add another 5-10 minutes. And the dish is ready!
