Quick & Tasty Cauliflower Steaks

Ingredients (4 portions)

Dish:

Cauliflower 1 kg
bell pepper 1 pc
Greenery 1 g

Asian sauce:

Orange juice 125 ml
Brown sugar 2 tbsp
Apple vinegar 1 tbsp
Soy sauce 2 tbsp
Ketchup 2 tbsp
Starch 1 tbsp
Dry spices to taste

Recipe instructions

Turn on the oven to preheat to 200 degrees. Grease a grill pan with vegetable oil and heat it up.

Wash the bell pepper, remove the stem and seeds. Cut into rings ~0.5-1 cm thick.

Wash the cauliflower and cut into steaks ~2-2.5 cm thick.

Coat the cabbage and pepper with Asian sauce (recipe below) and place on the grill pan, fry on both sides until golden brown stripes appear. Transfer to a baking dish and brush with sauce again. Bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes.

Sauce: pour soy sauce, vinegar, orange juice into the pan, add ketchup and sugar. Mix all ingredients. Bring the mixture in a saucepan to a boil over medium heat, pour in the starch diluted in water, stirring constantly, and simmer the sauce until thick. At the end, add spices and herbs to taste. Remove sauce from heat. Finita! Bon appetit!
