Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make a steamed omelette in a slow cooker? Prepare all the necessary products. Take large eggs, preferably homemade ones; from store-bought eggs, choose the CO category. These eggs are not only large in size, but also have a bright orange yolk, which makes the omelet a beautiful color. Wash eggs before using in warm water and soda, as there may be harmful bacteria on their surface.

Step 2

Step 2
Beat all the eggs into a deep bowl.

Step 3

Step 3
Mix the eggs with a fork or whisk.

Step 4

Step 4
Pour in the milk. Choose natural milk, ideally homemade. Take store-bought ones with higher fat content, the taste of the finished dish will depend on this. For a more satisfying option, you can take cream with a fat content of about 10%, but if you want a more dietary omelette, choose the smallest percentage of fat content. It is traditionally believed that for 1 egg, take the amount of milk that fits in half the shell of the same egg.

Step 5

Step 5
Add a little salt and beat everything with a fork or whisk. You can also add some other additives to the omelette mixture at this stage. Dry additives include garlic powder, dried dill, ground pepper or paprika. It can also be chopped fresh herbs, green onions, pieces of tomato or bacon.

Step 6

Step 6
To prepare a steamed omelet in a slow cooker, you will need a mold or molds. These can be silicone or ceramic molds. I have one large ceramic mold. Pour the egg-milk mixture into the prepared pan.

Step 7

Step 7
Place the pan on the steaming rack of the slow cooker.

Step 8

Step 8
Fill the multicooker bowl with water, approximate volume is about 300 ml.

Step 9

Step 9
Install the grid with the mold. Cook in a multicooker in the "Steam" mode. As a rule, in this mode the cooking time is already set to 10 minutes. But you should be guided by the size of your form in which you cook the omelet. If these are small silicone molds, then 10 minutes will be enough. If you have a large shape, then the time can be increased to 20 minutes. The time is approximate, be guided by your technique.
